My own wonderland

Ever since I was a little girl, books have always been my escape-door, my entrance to a very own wonderland. I remember how I used to invade my mum's shower just to discuss with her my latest read, or to tell her the way it made me feel. And although time has passed, my passion hasn't. We still discuss our books and share them once in a while. And that's what brings me to this post...since I love reading new books and emerging myself in new story-lines, I thought why not share with you guys my current 'wishlist' and if any of you have already read any of the books or have a cool recommendation, please comment below :) p.s - you'll see i'm a sucker for classics hehe ☺️

1. Lolita by Vladimir Nabokov
2. Eleanor & Park by Rainbow Rowell
3. This Side of Paradise by F. Scott Fitzgerald
4. The Sun Also Rises - Ernest Hemingway
5. When the Stars go Blue - Caridad Ferrer
6. Quiet - Susan Cain
7. Lola and the Boy Next Door - Stephanie Perkins
8. Gone With the Wind - Margaret Mitchell
9. A Midsummer Night's Dream - Shakespeare
10. The Secret Garden - Frances Burnett

  1. I haven't read any of them but I've been wanting to get my hands on Lolita for ages! I also want to read This Side of Paradise (I'm a sucker for Fitzgerald to be honest) and The Secret Garden.

    1. Yes, my mum actually bought Lolita for me but she didn't check and the book is in French and I can't read French :( hehe but oh well!

  2. I read Elinor & Park a while ago and it's written in a very different perspective than what I usually read. I defenitly think the book is worth reading even if it didn't land a spot in my favorites.
It's really a book mix with diffrent emotions, sometimes you just wanna cry and othertimes it's quite hilarius and sweet!

Two of my friends read it two and neither of them understood the concept of the book nor liked it very much, so it's a taste kinda thing. Anyways, if you don't enjoy Eleanor & Park very much you should defenitly try Rainbow Rowells Other book 'Fangirl' (it's a good read).

    1. Thanks! I'll give it a go and see how it turns out, quite curious to read it :) I've actually read Fangirl already and it's a good read indeed, such a cute story. Xx

  3. I read Eleanor & Park and Lola and the boy next door and although the first it's a "cute" book it talks about very deep subjects and it might not me everyone's cup of tea. I really like the writting tho,and the characters development.

Lola and the boy next door it's kind of a cliché but to be honest, I'm a sucker for this one - and Anna and the French kiss as well. I really like Stephanie's writting and I'm planning on buying the third one, Isla and the Happily ever after :) xx

    1. Ohh definitively seems interesting, you guys are getting me so curious about it! I've just bought Lolita so I'll read that first but then I'll read Eleanor & Park for sure. I'm a sucker for cliché's as well (is that even a thing??) and I'll look up Anna and the French Kiss - thanks for the tip Sophia! Love xx
